  1. Start with a clean, dry, or slightly damp scalp. Detangle and apply your favourite hair oil, Dearist Aloe Vera Gel or treatment if desired.
  2. Begin at your front hairline and gently comb towards the back of your neck.
  3. Use rhythmic, circular motions to massage. Massage from hairline to neck to rejuvenate, alternatively, massage from neck to hairline to stimulate and promote lymphatic drainage.
  4. With firm but even pressure, glide the comb down each side of your scalp, repeating the motion 5-10 times on each side.
  5. You can also use the back of the Kansa Comb to sweep from your neck to your shoulders in all directions, releasing tension, stimulating lymphatic drainage, enhancing energy flow, and reducing stiffness. Remember to sweep gently without applying excessive pressure.

FAQs
What is the Kansa Comb made of?

Kansa is an alloy primarily composed of copper and tin, and other metals with varying proportions. It is known for its therapeutic and health benefits in Ayurveda, such as balancing the doshas (body energies), Kansa is believed to have a balancing effect on the body's energy and is often used in tools which help detoxify the skin, improve circulation, and restore a natural glow. The metal's conductivity allows it to interact beneficially with the skin, making it a popular choice in traditional Ayurvedic skincare and haircare practices.

Are massage tools made of Kansa better than crystal ones [such as jade or rose quartz]?

Massage tools made from Kansa metal offer profound benefits due to their Ayurvedic origins. Combining copper, zinc, and tin, Kansa metal helps balance pH, reduce inflammation, and stimulate blood circulation, which may support hair growth. Beyond a soothing scalp massage, the unique alkalizing properties of Kansa metal assist in drawing out toxins, enhancing overall scalp health.

Can the Kansa Comb be used on other parts of the body?

Yes, a Kansa Comb can be used on other parts of the body besides the scalp. Its rounded edges and smooth metal surface are ideal for massaging areas like the neck, shoulders, and feet, helping to stimulate circulation, relieve tension, and promote relaxation. For facial care, we recommend using our Kansa Wand, specifically designed for delicate facial skin. As always, use gentle pressure and avoid areas with broken or irritated skin.

Is Kansa Comb safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

The Kansa Comb is generally safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, always consult with your healthcare provider to ensure it meets your specific health needs.

Can Kansa Comb be used on dry scalp?

Yes, a Kansa comb can be used on a dry scalp. In fact, it helps stimulate circulation and distribute natural oils. You can even use it as a replacement for your regular comb. Just be sure to apply gentle pressure, especially if your scalp is sensitive.

Can the Kansa comb be used when I have dandruff?

Yes, the Kansa comb is safe to use with dandruff. It gently exfoliates dandruff buildup, making it easier to remove when paired with an anti-dandruff shampoo. However, it's important to be gentle to avoid irritating the scalp, especially if it's sensitive. Make sure to clean the Kansa comb thoroughly after each use.

How does the Kansa comb differ from other combs?

Unlike traditional combs, the Kansa comb is made from Kansa Metal and is designed to provide therapeutic benefits through scalp massage, enhanced circulation, and lymphatic drainage.

How can I clean my Kansa Tools?

Upon receiving your Kansa Comb, wash it with a chemical-free soap [like castile soap or goats milk soap]. Gently towel dry the tool before use.

Natural Alternatives to clean Kansa:

Tea Tree Oil: For natural sterilisation, apply a few drops of tea tree oil on a dry muslin cloth and rub the wand.

White Kaolin Clay: This clay helps to remove residue. Mix the clay with water to create a paste, apply it to the wand, then rinse with cold water and towel dry.

Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives to clean your Kansa Comb.
